Hi guys! So about 2 weeks back I had an impromptu short getaway to Penang with my mom!She just decided to go on a short trip , booked the air tickets and hotel a week before and off we went!So I took a HELL load of pictures so I thought it would be better to seperate them into 2 posts.So here goes!
Day one:
Left the house pretty early in the morning at 6am as our flight was at 9. Didnt get much sleep as I only slept at 3 due to last min packing HAHA because for the past few days I was practically working my ass off.
Brother was nice enough to wake up earlier so that he could send us off.nawww
Was raining when we left SG
Landed in Penang International Airport in about 1 hour later.Hoorah!
Took a cab to our hotel and 20 mins later we arrived at Hotel Heliconia!

Its a pretty decent hotel and location is good as well. Rooms arent as big as the usual hotels but are just nice.:) We paid about $50 per night? Reasonably priced and the staff were helpful!You might wanna give it a try next time if youre going to Penang :)
After checking in and settling down, we decided to head out to get some lunch!

Quite unlikely to find it back home in Sg unless youre in Haji/Arab street!
Had lunch at a coffee shop which was 5 mins walk away from our hotel.How convenient!I like!
Mom had Prawn noodles which were the BOMB!
As you can see, there are no prawns in this prawn mee but there are fishballs!I guess thats how the people in Penang have their prawn mee.
And I had wanton mee!
(As we go along the days you would be noticing that I am ALWAYS eating wanton mee during the whole trip.Dont ask me why, I also dont know HAHA)
FOOD WAS YUMMY OH GOD HEHE.
So after lunch we decided to roam around the area and did a little shopping for what?

After that we went back to our room, took a short nap and went out for dinner!The night stalls were opened but it was POURING when we headed out!!Thankfully, we packed an umbrella beforehand and that was our lifesaver.
Had lor mee for dinner.Wasnt the best but edible :)

Which wasnt filling for her we had satay too which was yummy!
The rain was too heavy for us to explore and we were slightly drenched so we decided to head back to the hotel to have an early night. No visuals though because all I did was watch tv, facetime Clarence , bathe and then sleep HAHA.THANK GOD FOR WIFI.

It was our seventh month on that day btw.

DAY TWO:
woke up rather early. Mom woke me up at 8am because she forgot to tune her watch or something and it was fast by 4 hours.So she woke me up at 8am thinking that it was 12pm..Until I showed her my phone clock.HAHAH mom pls.
Day two leggo!
Headed to Gurney drive and we decided to be adventurous and take the bus.

Thank you sbs for making me wait a maximum of 15 mins for the bus at times.
Mother decided to be adventurous again and this time she decided that we should try their road side food.LITERALLY. there were people who made makeshift stalls and food was cooked and being served like this.
You basically take what you want by yourself and then pay!

It was cheap.AND GOOD?! DAMN NICE.I was initially quite afraid of trying but im glad i gave it a try :)
After that, headed to gurney plaza for some shopping HAHA.
The mall was HUGE!It was about 7 storeys high?And they had cold storage and all heheh weeee!
Malaysia daiso.Just be a fool only.
Gotta have my ice cream regardless of where im at :)
And it was raining again so we settled for some hot porridge and soup at macs HEHE
And then we decided to go where? GROCERY SHOPPING AT COLD STORAGE HAH!

Got naked basics from Gurney Paragon's Sephora and it was a few dollars cheaper so i just got it!
(There wasnt anything much at paragon though..Just h&m,pandora..nothing much.)
Silly me decided to carelessly open the palette and i accidentally chipped some eyeshadow off
Bought wanton mee back and had supper on the bed :)))))
